Looking for a gorgeous Ireland venue that is straight out of a period drama? Below are my top five favorites from all over Ireland!
Gloster House
Gloster House is one of my absolute favorite ireland venues. The Georgian-house, a historic manor built three centuries ago, has been transported from the pages of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice to the evergreen countryside just outside Dublin. This beautiful venue features multiple gorgeously renovated rooms, an iconic entryway in white, expansive grounds that are meticulously tended. My favorite feature of the venue is the courtyard. This courtyard is the venue’s centerpiece, connecting all of the spaces in a wonderfully whimsical way, lined with tall willowy trees and Percy the Peacock wandering the grounds.

Gloster House can accommodate intimate weddings up to a full celebration with 200 of your closest friends and family. If Mr. Darcy’s Chatsworth House inspires you, this is your venue!

Carton House
Another Mr. Darcy venue, but with a modern flair that would make even Caroline Bingley green with envy. Definitely not a long way from Darbyshire! Carton House, a distinguished member of the Fairmont-managed hotels is the epitome of luxury and class. The venue is located just outside Dublin on over 1000 acres of verdant land.

The venue boasts excellent golf and spa and offers a wide range of amenities for you and your guests, including falconry, tennis, biking and much more. For more details on this wonderful ireland venue, read my blog post!
Luttrellstown Castle
Looking for a fairytale escape just outside Dublin? Luttrellstown Castle, a stunning 15th-century estate, is a hidden gem only 11 miles from Dublin Airport. Nestled among lush trees and beautifully manicured gardens, this enchanting venue feels like something out of a storybook.
Inside, the castle seamlessly blends modern comforts with timeless elegance—think grand windows, luxurious clawfoot bathtubs, impossibly soft beds, and a library straight out of Belle’s dreams.

But the magic doesn’t stop there. The ivy-draped walls, romantic spiral staircase, charming gardener’s cottage, and countless floral-filled corners make the outdoor grounds truly breathtaking. It’s a dream setting for any love story.

Powerscourt Estate
The moment I stepped foot on Powerscourt Estate, The Sound of Music immediately came to mind. Nestled in County Wicklow beneath the watchful gaze of Sugarloaf Mountain, this estate carries a history as grand as its scenery. Originally a medieval castle dating back to the 13th century, it was reimagined in the 18th century into the breathtaking Palladian mansion we see today.

With its sprawling grounds and stunning architecture, Powerscourt is a true blank canvas for weddings of any size. Dreaming of an intimate ceremony in the formal rose garden? Absolutely. Planning a grand 200-guest celebration in the newly renovated ballroom? Done and done.

Killruddery House & Gardens
Killruddery House was an actual DREAM to visit. It was supposed to be a quick stop that lasted 3 hours. I wanted to stay here. I wanted to live here. Set on a pristine 800 acres in County Wicklow, this estate has been owned by the same family since 1618. The grounds are a breathtaking blend of curated and wild beauty, featuring vibrant cut flower gardens, a historic walled garden, a natural amphitheater, and winding high-hedge pathways framed by ancient trees.

Adding to its charm, the estate is home to a bio-diverse, sustainable farm that supplies fresh goods to its on-site shop. While I didn’t have time to tour inside the venue, I sneaked a peek inside the orangery and it cemented my love of this venue. I cannot wait to go back! For more info, check out their website.
